The basics
Premature ejaculation (PE) is a term doctors use when ejaculation regularly happens sooner than a person wishes, with little sense of control, and it causes distress.
It's common
Many men experience faster-than-wanted ejaculation at some point — especially with a new partner, after a long gap, or when anxious. One experience does not mean a condition.
What may help
Understanding arousal, breathing, pelvic-floor awareness, and reducing pressure may help you feel more in control.
When to see someone
If this concern is persistent, sudden, painful, or worrying you, please speak with a qualified doctor. Only a qualified professional can evaluate it.
